With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Wang is committed to technology, data and use scientific methods to turn big data into actionable signal engineering. Her expertise includes custom computer programming, hardware design, number crunching, algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data visualization, statistics, analysis, and helping organizations make decisions.

Dr. Wang is the Founder of TechFocus LLC and had worked as a research engineer in the Mobility, Behavior, and Advanced Powertrains group at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) for over nine years. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on zero emissions vehicles, energy impacts of connected and automated vehicle technologies, transportation “big data” analyses, fuel consumption prediction, deep learning algorithm, and traffic route optimization.

She has developed physics-based models using machine learning algorithms to predict real-time fuel consumption based on driving conditions and road grades which was authorized to assert a closed-source copyright as the sole contributor. Google Maps' new feature “most energy efficient route” used this technology.

She earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from WVU in 2011 and she's also a real estate broker licensed in Colorado.
