Federal Business Development Manager
Job Summary

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Former/Current Federal Employees or Members of the Military involved in Leadership Roles and/or Government Contracting & Acquisitions (with a demonstrated portfolio of relevant experience)
- Former/Current Individually Owned 8(a) Presidents, General Managers, Directors, Program/Operations Managers, or Business Developers (that have a track record of contract wins)
Business Development Skills Required:
- Experienced in federal government contract sales life cycle and knowledge on GWACs
- Strong relationship with small and large system integrator in the federal government contracting area
- Knowledge of government contracting methodologies and current acquisition trends and customer funding cycles.
- Experienced in federal government IT professional services needs, target agency decision makers, and departmental forecast for IT needs
- Proven Ability to navigate Federal Departments and Agencies contracting hierarchy.
- Experience with GovWin, FPDS, beta.SAM and other government and business intelligence platforms.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Develop a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities for TechFocus in alignment with TechFocus’s strategic plan, service practice areas
- BS Degree in business administration, computer science, or other related fields.
- Understanding of Technology space including – Software Development, Cyber, Cloud and other emerging technologies
- Understanding office property for lease
- Lead and direct proposal activities, IAW RFPs/RFQs, Sources Sought and develop high quality, winning proposals
- Act as Primary POC for Government bid opportunities
- Brief the President on status of opportunities and bids
- Must be comfortable in leading a company in startup mode
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance
- 25% minimum travel expectation stateside
